I really love his inks and stippling. Here's his link.

"Ten feet, twenty feet, thirty feet south. Passage turns east and west. Which way do you go?" "We go South." Stupefied look and momentary pause. "Okay. Bump, bump, bump." -E. Gary Gygax to adventurers in Greyhawk Castle, circa 1972 You have now entered the realm of the LORD OF THE GREEN DRAGONS -- a "Classic Gaming" blog.

Darned nifty. :D
Believe it or not when I was posting this I just KNEW you would appreciate his art. :) Precog Check = Pass. ;)
Not my cup o' tea in terms of style, but I do like the composition and the "feel" of the work. It takes me back to my youth and all the pulp and fantasy fiction I was pumping into my brain at the time.
I am surprised, Bubba-G. The stipling is right up there and beyond with something Dave Trampier might have done and certainly compares to V. Finlay and in that sense to Eric Pape's examples. That he's also done a lot for Arkham House here in Wisconsin endeared me to his work immediately. Man, the guys been around the industry for how many years? As long as I have (Hack, Wheeze, Cough ... ala Gronan)
Please don't think I was complaining - it's just a matter of personal taste and nothing more. And for me, the feeling of nostalgia is worth far more than the art itself in any case. For that, even if for little more, I appreciate the art, the artist, and the poster (your esteemed self, of course). Thanks for taking me back to my youth for a few moments.
Now if only you could find a way to make me younger for real... ;-)
After reading it once again, I somehow think I worded that last post poorly. If you took offense to anything, or if anything seemed insulting, flip it around, turn it into a compliment or something similarly kind, and you'll have the gist of what I intended.
Geez, I must be getting tired. Or old. Time for my nap, I think.
No biggy Big G. Really... :)
I really MUST avoid the Internet late at night. One of these days I'm gonna accidentally say something that sounds like I'm threatening the queen of England or something.
Allen Koszowski is the best black and white artist on this planet in present and the past. I just hope that he gets the finantial recognition that he richly deserves
