Clark Ashton Smith Part 1: Art & Cover Art Inspired By His Stories

THE EMPEROR OF DREAMS
"Clark Ashton Smith (13 January 1893 – 14 August 1961) was an American poet, sculptor, painter and author of fantasy, horror and science fiction short stories. It is for these stories, and his literary friendship with H. P. Lovecraft from 1922 until Lovecraft's death in 1937, that he is mostly remembered today. With Lovecraft and Robert E. Howard, also a friend and correspondent, Smith remains one of the most famous contributors to the pulp magazine Weird Tales."

Morning Rafael:

I am not sure of all the foreign imprints as yet, still checking. Off the cuff it appears to be a book...

Upon doing some more research it appears to have been an Italian chapbook, 1985-1993, devoted to publishing one story each, I presume, from a long list of related "Mythos" authors, such as Lovecraft, Smith, Hodgson, etc.

I have included a partial screenshot of their 'issued 'books at the bottom of the article.

Upon taking a closer look, the term "anthology" (from Google Translate) appears more than once in their descriptions, so these may have been TPB books. I will endeavor to discover the history about these as time permits.

Welcome headspice (and to others who have recently registered to follow this blog). I hope you continue to enjoy the articles. They are on the main aimed at inspiring and informing folks who aspire to design, to write, and to expand their individual creative processes. There's a mix of articles already present, so please have a look around at your leisure. Incisive commentary is welcome and appreciated, as are questions, which I will answer to the best of my ability.

Enjoy. :)

You're welcome, Rafael. It's not on my immediate list as I am swamped with writing and composing articles for here and there.
