"Ten feet, twenty feet, thirty feet south. Passage turns east and west. Which way do you go?"
"We go South."
Stupefied look and momentary pause. "Okay. Bump, bump, bump."

@ biopunk: Exactly! I was LMAO while reading this and just had to post it. The story probably isn't as interesting as the events surrounding a couple of people at Belmont, eating subs, and discussing what copy to put on the front and back covers! :) "This is the most absurd book you'll read this year!" LOL.
@Jack. I was tempted to find and order it, but got involved reading CA Smith instead. It's just so darn hilarious that you want to buy it and then feel proud for having been the knowing fool for doing so. Very effective. :)
Yeah. Great fun. I still laugh when I read it. Great copywriting. There were so many of these books out there at the time they just started telling the truth: "Buy our absurdity!" "We've got the best nonsense!" Chuckles... ;)
Well, I'd certainly pay the 50¢ to read the "...pow, bang, sock, ugh, crack, oh, oh, oh, book of the year." LOL.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of Cherry Delight, the Sexecutioner! I've not read any of those books, but I'd love to find one and give it a read just to see what's what.

ReplyDeleteHow can one pass up a cover like that?
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing like the old paperback book covers from the 50's and 60's.
wow...i mean "oh,oh,oh"..only on a "booby sexed" book
