"Ten feet, twenty feet, thirty feet south. Passage turns east and west. Which way do you go?" "We go South." Stupefied look and momentary pause. "Okay. Bump, bump, bump." -E. Gary Gygax to adventurers in Greyhawk Castle, circa 1972 You have now entered the realm of the LORD OF THE GREEN DRAGONS -- a "Classic Gaming" blog.

I hated Star Frontiers myself. Wait...that's not the point?
Onwards and upwards then!
One of my favorite songs. A good anthem for going someplace new and not getting tangled-up in the old, boring, stale cat-piss-scented nonsense that often can get mistaken for anything meaningful. Only the work matters. Only those things that contribute to the work have value. All else is distraction. Where's my coffee?
Everything is a distraction. It's just a question of what we want to allow ourselves to get distracted by.
Nationalism & war. Childish. But let's play and shop accordingly!
The pen is mightier than the sword. Let us have a Pen State! State of Pen? Or a State Pen? Imprisonment of our state of minds? Yup, that's distraction.
Either way, until our penswords (or pens' words) are beaten into plowshares (plows' hares? Multiplicating rapidly reproducing furrowing implements!), we'll keep looking for an inkling of distraction.
Maybe I've had too much coffee?
Ciao!
GW
Somehow that title strikes me as familiar... ;->
Allan.
Now if you asked if I went to Penn State, I could have answered in a bad russian accent, "No, State Pen."
Wanna see me pull a rabbit out of my hat? Nothing up my sleeves. . .
Heh. Bulwinkle J. "Doom"
"Hark! What light through yonder window breaks!?"
"Humble, that's me... Mr. Modesty. When it comes to humility, I'm the greatest."
Argh! Wrong reference, but I remember Sherman & Peabody meeting Shakepeare at his play Romeo & Zelda.
"Bacon! You'll fry for this!"
